Where can you go to take an MOT test

There are about 19,000 garages licensed as MOT test centers across the nation which can conduct the MOT test. The logo of the three triangles in blue is used to identify authorized test centers. The cost for the test has to be clearly displayed on a display in every test center. However, the test center could charge less than what is stated on the poster, in the event that they choose to.
What tests are conducted on vehicles

Test stations for MOT have designated test bays in which they test with a range of test devices that meet the specifications for testing MOT. The procedures for testing are described in an inspection guideline that the test center must make available upon request.

If your car has failed in the testing, you’ll receive the failure report that includes a an e-booklet. The test can be watched from a designated area but you’re not permitted interrupt the tester as the test is being conducted.

All MOT testers have completed an education course with VOSA. Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) and their test results are inspected often.
