Although you might have heard that a pillow with holes is the best for Chondrodermatitis (CNH), many people don’t realize how important it can make to their sleep quality. Even if your ear condition is not severe, it’s possible to have difficulty sleeping on your side due to a recent surgery or an ear piercing. Maybe you simply want to be able listen to quality music before you go to sleep. No matter what your nighttime problem may be, the pillow with holes can solve it.

Number 1: A Pillow is Essential for Ear Piercings

It can take up 8 weeks for ear piercings to heal. This is why it’s important to not sleep on your side. It’s possible for the pierced area to swell again by pressing down on it or bumping into it. A pillow with a hole is the best size and shape to protect your piercing. The pillow measures 8cm (2inches) in depth, which is slightly less than standard pillows. The zipper allows you to add or remove filling for different types of piercings.

Number two: It can reduce ear pain during pregnancy

It is common for pregnant women to prefer sleeping on their side, especially during the third trimester. But, if you sleep in this position for too long, it can cause ear pressure and friction that can lead to soreness. The pillow with a hole allows you to elevate and cradle your ear, while still supporting your head. It does not force you into an uncomfortable position. This pillow will relieve some of the discomfort you feel during pregnancy so that you and your baby can rest well.

Number three: This is the best pillow for using headphones

Does your partner snore? It can cause you to have a hard time sleeping, and can also impact your ability to function every day. While you may have tried earplugs or headphones to block the noise, standard pillows can be pressed against your head and even cause them to fall apart. The pillow with a hole is not a problem. The pillow can be used with earphones or earplugs because the hole is designed to support your ears and protect any accessories. You may also want one for your partner, as sleeping on your side can reduce snoring.

Number four: You are recovering from ear surgery

Standard pillows won’t provide the protection that your ears need after surgery. Their fabric can harbor germs and fungus, which is why they are not recommended for use after surgery. A pillow with a hole is a good option to provide a safe and friction-free environment for healing. The 8x9cm (3×4″) hole will fit around your ears, providing enough space. It is made of hypoallergenic material and can be used on all skin types.

Number Five: You are a committed side-sleeper

According to the National Sleep Foundation (NSF), sleeping on your side can reduce acid reflux and open your airways. The best pillow for you is one with a hole. Side-sleeping can cause irritation, pressure and injury. The pillow with a hole prevents the pillow from being crushed during sleep. This is particularly beneficial for older people who are more likely to develop pressure sores. It provides optimal cushioning support for your neck and head, so you can have the best sleep possible.

The Pillow That You Didn’t Know You Required

It is possible that you didn’t realize the small problems that kept you awake at night. You can improve your sleep quality by using a pillow with holes.
